EQA Programmes are organized by the National Blood Center  (CNS)  in collaboration with the National Centre for the Control and Evaluation of Medicines (CNCF) of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS).

The coordinators of EQA Programmes  are Dr. Giulio Pisani (biologist, researcher, Biologicals Unit, CNCF) and Dr. Simonetta Pupella (physician, responsible of the Transfusion Safety Area,  CNS).
