Plenary Consultation – December 2025

On 2 December, a plenary consultation was held with the participation of the national and regional Presidents of the blood donor Associations and Federations, the Directors of the Regional Blood Centres, and representatives of the scientific societies, the National Blood Centre and the Ministry of Health. During the meeting, preliminary data on the collection and use of red blood cells and plasma for the current year were presented and discussed.

On this occasion, among other matters, the new calls for proposals to fund the development and implementation of projects by external bodies were presented. An update was also provided on forthcoming communication initiatives to be carried out in cooperation with donor associations and the Ministry of Health. In addition, information was shared on the ongoing process of alignment with the new European Regulation on Substances of Human Origin (SoHO), as well as on the project activities currently under way or about to be launched.”
