“Match it Now!” is back, the campaign dedicated to bone marrow donation, promoted by the Ministry of Health, the National Transplant Centre, the National Blood Centre, the Italian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (IBMDR), the Italian Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation (GITMO), and donor associations ADMO, ADOCES and ADISCO.
From 21 to 27 September, volunteers from the associations, together with healthcare professionals, will be present in major squares across Italy to raise awareness and recruit new young donors. On 22 September, the twelfth edition of World Marrow Donor Day will also be celebrated, an event taking place in more than 60 countries across all continents.
This year, Match it Now – through the “Scegli di donare” (“Choose to Donate”) campaign – will also visit secondary schools as part of the travelling “CampBus” project, created by Corriere della Sera to promote digital literacy and raise awareness of social issues among secondary school students.
Take part in the many events taking place as part of Match it Now. Find the event nearest to you: ADMO, ADOCES and ADISCO.
